When the biogas plant fed with green leaves faced an unexpected difficulty. The midribs and veins of the leaves accumulated in the digester as undigested debris, which eventually clogged the biogas plant and impeded the inlet pipe. The impediment could only be removed manually, after removing the gas holder. This operation causing compulsory break of 2 to 3 weeks in the biogas production. It is therefore planned to modify the ARTI biogas plant in such a way, that it would be possible to remove the undigested debris without interrupting the process of biogas production.
